The theatre has been a pleasing form of social entertainment since the start of the Victorian period. Actually, the Adelphi Theatre on the Strand was the first theatre to show an adaptation of work by the excellent Charles Dickens in the mid 1800s. Ever since then lots of Charles Dickens work was presented there.In 1663, the oldest theatre selling theatre tickets in the Capital City of London is the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane. Although lots of fires have happened within the stunning theatre, the home of the theatre has always stayed in the same place. As part of West End London the theatre has observed plentiful theatrical shows come and go.At present, there are lots of theatres in Victorian London all selling theatre tickets. There is even a section in the Capital City of London called Theatre Land that holds over forty different theatres. Countless of them, as noted above, were built in the Victorian era and even Edwardian. Many of the theatres are privately owned and theatre ticket sales are exceptionally fundamental to help them keep the theatres up and running for the public to experience.One of the theatres in Theatre Land is due to gain history. The Adelphi has recently announced it will be hosting the sequel to Phantom, aka Phantom of the Opera, by the marvellous Andrew Llyod Webber. Capitalising on the 80 million viewing success of the mind-blowing first Phantom, next year will see the premiere of the much anticipated second part. The story line takes place a decade after the first stage show and you find Christine return back to the Phantom without her knowing.
