The License Plate

We often find a metal plate attached to the back and front side of a motor vehicle, called license plate. The main reason of introducing this custom license plate is to combat the fraud of vehicle owner, the place of its registration. With the increase of vehicles on road, there was urgent need of introducing some method to track the origin of the vehicles by the enforcing authority. Therefore the license plate came into existence in year of 1903.It is also called license tags. License tag of a passenger cars includes owners residence, owners occupation and expiration date etc. Currently these license plates are prepared in such a way so that it lasts through out the life span of that motor vehicle.i.e. More than one year. These are done to minimize the cost of manufacturing it again. Because the plate comes costly.
