Pigs vs Dogs

What are the differences in raising a pig versus raising a dog? Well, both dogs and pigs are smart animals. They can both be trained and they can both learn when trained with consistency. They are both inquisitive and curious animals that require attention to keep them from getting into too much trouble. They can both be potty-trained and redirected when their behaviors get a little out of hand. Both dogs and pigs are clean animals and both like to be clean. Differences? Pigs can grow to be significantly larger than some dogs. Pigs don not get fleas and dogs are susceptible to fleas. Even though pigs and dogs are both generally healthy, pigs require less medical attention than dogs on the whole. Both pigs and dogs can learn to manipulate their human owners through gestures and eye contact, learning to get what they want rather quickly if the human doesn’t catch on quickly enough. So overall, there’s not too much difference between raising a pig and a dog.
