Digital Photo Frame Market – Mainly Bought For Gifts
May 29, 2009 5:57 am 158The market for digital photo frames is predicted to reach a trade value of nearly 750 million Euros across Western Europe this year – with some 26% of that figure in 2009 estimated as UK purchases - a significant jump when compared with 2008.
A report from Futuresource predicts that, despite this strong growth, the replacement and upgrade market has yet to be established and that the majority of digital photo frames are bought as gifts.
7 inch frames screens will probably represent the majority of sales for some time to come as they are priced within the “impulse buy” zone – but 8 inch frame prices may very well fall into this category in the near future.
