For a newcomer, trust you could get lost in the world of wires and buttons, a lot of which you would see around a video editing studio. This is not to say that a Pinnacle DV editing application will not have these wires and buttons. They do, but once you find a way through them you would just unravel the working of one of the simplest video editing products available.
