Current Trends in Black Pants

Although basic black pants are always fashionable, trendy designers draw from the past while reinventing the look.  Black cargo pants are a classic example of how designers take an old look and cut a bit here, add a bit there to come up with a whole new trend. 

Remember the denim painter overalls that were everywhere a decade ago?  Well, cut the top off, add a few more random pockets, either slim down the legs or bag them out and voila!  You have cargo pants.  Next you get creative, cut the legs to mid calf and you have cropped cargo pants.  Get rid of the denim blue, darken the look and you have black cargo pants.
