Needs to Extend Unemployment Benefits Until a New Job was Found

I worked for a garments factory for almost a decade. But because the country went through economic crisis, the company went bankrupt. It was really hard on my part to be kicked out of work, but I couldn’t do anything about it. It wasn’t just me who has been affected. It caused unemployment to hundreds and hundreds of people and the only thing we could do was deal with it. I have my wife and two kids to think of. Right now, I am looking for a job and it was quite a while when I applied for unemployment benefit and it’s been a big help. But, how do i qualify for extended unemployment benefits? I badly need this help until I find a new job.
