I shut the conference room door and asked him to have a seat. I asked him why he chose to get a PMP certification. He said that it was one of the best ways to get ahead in the project management profession. I asked him if he had always wanted to be a project manager. He told me that it was what he went to school for. He liked the idea of new challenges all the time. He said it was like getting a new job every couple of months. I thought that was a pretty a good reason to get a PMP certification. I sat down as I want started to speak with him about the project.
