Canon Rebel Review

I spent a lot of time studying DSLR Camera reviews before making my decisions.  The starting point was Canon vs Nikon.  Eventually I chose Canon for mostly personal preference reasons.  Then I had to review all the Canon EOS options.  The Pro camera are simply out of my league and who wants to carry a brick around anyway?  The Canon 1000D or Rebel XSi as it is known in North America is tempting at the price and I could find little wrong with it except the emotional, bragging issue of choosing the bottom of the scale.   I found a perfect balance detailed in Canon Rebel Review. Canon 550d vs Canon 500d 50d 60d and 1000d.  I chose the D500 because it gave me just about all the funtionality of the many more expensive options and it left me enough in my budget to add a decent lens!
